Es una casa con jardín estupenda para pasar unas cómodas vacaciones en Valle Gran Rey. La casa está totalmente renovada y es adecuada para un máximo de 4 personas. Las vistas y la tranquilidad son maravillosas.

The house has a lot of terrassed surface and some garden, the outside and the covered porch are truly very enjoyable. Depending from where you stand, you can see the beautiful cliffs of Valle Gran Rey. There is no ocean view, despite being located very close to the ocean. The house itself seems to date back from around 1980, and needs some renovation/repair here and there. The age of the house is well noticeable in the bathroom and the kitchen. Especially the 40-year old dishwasher is not in a good-looking condition. But everything works. The cooking stove looks like it$0027s been replaced recently. The fridge is also new. The bedroom, the living room and the kitchen are rather dark. Hence we have spent most of the time under the cover of the porch or on the terrasse. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. There is a laundry washer in a small shed behind the house, which we have used (detergent is however not supplied). Beware that the house possesses no heating nor fireplace. It can feel cold in March/April. We have sometimes used blankets to sit on the porch in the evening. Weak point were the mattresses. They were way to soft (sinking in), even for a light person. The pillows were too soft also. The location of the house is great. It is truly only a minute to walk to the oceanside (big stone beach, not suitable for swimming). The beach of Vueltas is 10-min walk away and is very suitable for swimming (about 19 C water at beginning April). There are quite some restaurants and supermarkets withing waking distance. We were always able to find parking on the large parking lot located a 2-min walk from the house. We did not meet the owner Mr Trujillo, it was his associate Mrs Ana who brought us to the house. She only speaks Spanish. It is rather odd that Mr Trujillo would not employ an English- or German-speaking associate, given that the 99% of tourists here are from Germany and it can$0027t be expected that they would have a good command of Spanish language. One night we had to call her because the electrical transformer near the house was producing sparks and we were afraid it would cause a fire. She did not seem surprised (it probably happens regularly?), and called the electricity company to have it fixed.
